Holiday Playlist: Our All Time Christmas Favorites

Alot of blood, sweat, and tears went into making this list so enjoy

The Holidays are approaching which means time to spread the Holiday cheer with a vast majority of Christmas songs. We (NJ & KD) decided to come together to make an epic Christmas list for you to jam out to this Holiday season no matter where you are this year. We’ve selected a wide variety of both new and old songs including some of our new Holiday hits that we are both excited to share with all of you. So sit take, relax, have some hot chocolate, and use this playlist while making a batch of Christmas cookies with your friends and family.

All I Want For Christmas-Mariah Carrey

How could this article not be on top of our list? “All I Want For Christmas” might be a bit overplayed but I’m not going to complain because this one is my personal top favorite. Mariah Carey manages to capture the Christmas spirit in this holiday classic and the Christmas cheer is exactly what we need in 2020 because this year is a hot mess.

(Fun Fact: This song went to #1 in 2019 over 20 years after it’s initial release in 1994)

Rockin Around The Christmas Tree-Brenda Lee

Think it’s pretty obvious this one needed to be included. This is easily one of the older Holiday classics that just has the uplifting sound of Christmas. It’s also been featured in almost every Holiday movie imaginable so it would’ve been a crime to not include this. Also maybe it’s just us, but this song was perfect in “Home Alone” and that’s where I (NJ) first personally heard the song.

Last Christmas-Wham!

Next up on our spectacular list is Wham’s Last Christmas. This Holiday classic has a mixture of a variety things that makes it so iconic. Holiday romance and a festive beat that gets you in the Holiday mood, oh and it’s Wham so you can’t go wrong with that. While many people have covered this track, it’s really hard to top the original because Wham are just that good!

Christmas Tree Farm-Taylor Swift

Coming in next is Taylor Swift with her 2019 Christmas Track, Christmas Tree Farm. We wanted to include this because it’s a more recent Holiday track and it has potential in our opinion to become a Holiday classic in the future. It has a good blend of Christmas melodies to the instrumentals and and an overall good beat to get you in the festive mood.

Do They Know It’s Christmas?-Band Aid 20

Next up is, the 1984 version of Do They Know It’s Christmas by Band Aid 20. This is the perfect Holiday song to have on in the background at your small family gathering, or even in the car on the way to work. I feel like this doesn’t get noticed as much either for some reason, at least in the states and we’re not sure why.

Underneath The Tree-Kelly Clarkson

Next up is Kelly Clarkson with Underneath The Tree. Something about Kelly Clarkson and Christmas songs just work and this song is my personal favorite to listen to every year. It has a classic festive beat to it and just works perfect as background music.

White Christmas-Bing Cosby

Probably the most chill and relaxed Holiday jam is “White Christmas” by Bing Cosby. Not only is the movie iconic and beloved but the song is as well and is something we look forward to listening and watching every December.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas-Michael Bublé

Wouldn’t be Christmas without Michael Bublé. I’m sure you know this song because almost everyone uses it on their IG story. In fact they use it so much that I’m technically over this song but since it’s a favorite, I felt we needed to include it in the list.

Santa’s Coming For Us-Sia

Need some new Christmas tunes? Check out Sia’s Christmas song, Santa’s Coming For Us! I like promoting newer Holiday songs and this is one that really stands out. Plus it has a really well-produced retro style video so we recommend checking that out as well.

Wrapped In Red-Kelly Clarkson

Once again we have Kelly Clarkson this time with her single, Wrapped In Red. In comparison to “Underneath The Tree”, this one has a slower ballad sound to it but works. I really like Clarkson’s voice and this become another favorite of mine personally.

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)-Mariah Carey

Yes it’s Mariah Carey again with her other hit, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). This isn’t as huge as “All I Want For Christmas” but it’s still a pretty well known song around the holidays. Mariah Carey just has a voice made for holiday songs, what else can we say?

Happy Xmas (War Is Over)-Miley Cyrus, Mark Ronson

So this is a cover of the original but I don’t know, I really like this cover and wanted to include it. Miley Cyrus’s vocals with this version work perfectly and gives the song an overall peaceful yet Holiday cheer type of feel. The original is still great but this cover is pretty good too, which is why we wanted to include it on the list.

Santa Tell Me-Ariana Grande

Next up is Ariana Grande with “Santa Tell Me” which is a newer Christmas track that has gained traction over the past few years. I personally like it, Grande manages to capture the essence of Christmas in an upbeat more modernized sounding Holiday single.

I’ll Be Home-Meghan Trainor

As we get to the last of the list is Meghan Trainor with “I’ll Be Home”. This track is a slower sounding and chill Christmas track which is a bit refreshing and a change up from the other songs featured on this list.

Christmas Without You-Ava Max

Next is our favorite Ava Max with her newest Christmas track, Christmas Without You. Felt this was a good song to end on considering it’s newer and has catchy vocals to get you in the festive spirit. Liked this one alot and have been jamming out to it since. (Also; Ava Max is one of KD and I’s favorite artists so we might be a bit biased lol)

Sleigh Ride-The Ronettes

This is always a classic that gets you in the holiday spirit.

Where Are You Christmas?-Faith Hill

I have always loved this song. It’s so pretty and is sung well by Faith Hill this might describe the Christmas of 2020 pretty well sadly.

Santa Clause Is Back In Town-Elvis

With Elvis’s classic vocals and this cool non traditional sound for Christmas this makes it on my list of Christmas faves.

This concludes our list of favorite Christmas songs to enjoy around the Christmas holiday. We hope you enjoyed! Have a very Merry Christmas!
