Life In New York While On Pause

There has been a few different things that I have noticed during NY Pause. Ranging from the way people have been communicating. One thing, that I have noticed is people are communicating more over social media and not in person. People have been staying 6 feet away from each other when they are away from home and not with family.

Many people have become nervous about leaving their homes because of the way the Novel coronavirus has been spreading. It has made it so if someone does something along the lines of sneezing in public that people start getting nervous that they maybe infected. Some of this, I have noticed since I started working at Wal-Mart here in my hometown. NY Pause orders have also made it so people hold onto as much money as they can to make it until they start working again. It has also made many people wonder why they can’t work from home more often than they do under normal conditions. Part of the reasoning is they are finding themselves either being more productive at home, rather than in a work environment or being able to be home with the kids more.

I noticed that before I started working at Wal-Mart that my mood started going down hill after the two week mark because I wasn’t getting the social interaction I was used to at school or even in my day to day activity’s. I noticed that it was also making it harder on other people as well. Some people started feeling depressed after a while because they couldn’t hang out with their friends as much. However once I started working at Walmart my mood greatly improved to the point where I was almost back to normal getting social interaction and being more active in my daily lifestyle.

Granted people want more of a new normal as far as being people wearing masks when they are out and about manly when they are sick. Also temperature checks in certain buildings.
